The Comms team asked me to design an iconic sculpture for the launch of the Ford Mach-E at Hawthorne Airfield, they wanted a fresh interpretation of their iconic pony logo—something that could serve as a projection surface for the event’s vehicle reveal. Using 3ds Max, I designed the prototype and 3D-printed a model to demonstrate the viability of a freestanding, 70-foot-long sculpture. The client was so thrilled with the result that they requested a scaled-down version to give away to press attendees. Over time, Ford adopted the sculpture as a promotional item for every Mach-E owner, earning it the nickname Fractal Pony.
